When starting in voice overs (after you have necessary equipment and website) you must work hardest to get your name out there. You've heard the phrase "location location location"... Well in VO it's "Marketing marketing marketing!!!".
Don't give up. As famous voice over talent Beau Weaver says "I just refused to go away". It sure paid off for him.
Also stay true to your own style. Be inspired by others, but do NOT imitate them, instead learn from them and do your OWN thing.
